This dataset contains information on waste management facilities located in Biscay, organised into four thematic layers that enable the identification and classification of the different types of infrastructure related to waste collection, transfer, and treatment. The “Garbiguneak” layer includes civic amenity sites intended for the selective collection of household and special waste, enabling citizens to correctly separate and dispose of recyclable materials and waste requiring specific treatment. The “Zabortegiak / Landfills” layer provides the location of landfill sites in Biscay, facilities intended for the controlled disposal of waste that cannot be reused or recovered through other treatment processes. The “Transferentzia-instalazioak / Transfer Stations” layer contains transfer stations where waste is grouped, compacted, and redistributed in order to optimise its transport to final treatment or disposal facilities. Finally, the “Beste instalazio batzuk / Other Facilities” layer includes other infrastructures related to waste management that are not covered by the previous categories, thereby providing a more comprehensive overview of the territory’s waste treatment and management system.
